Bellville Cricket Club were named Club of the Year at Saturday, 30 August’s Western Province Cricket Association awards ceremony for the 2024-25 season.
Bellville Cricket Club beat fellow WPCA Club of the Year contenders Cravenby Cricket Club, Edgemead Cricket Club, Yorkshire Cricket Club and the University of the Western Cape Cricket Club to the 2024-25 award.
“This award is given to the club with a very good administrative record and league performances are taken into consideration. And, if a club was found guilty in a disciplinary committee hearing during the season, they are automatically disqualified from contention for this award,” read a statement from the WPCA.
Bellville Cricket Club won the same award at the end of the 2014-15 WPCA season.
