Leg-spinner Josh Breed was named Academy Player of the Year at Saturday, 30 August’s Western Province Cricket Association awards ceremony for the 2024-25 season.
Breed was the leading wicket-taker in three-day cricket during the 2024-25 colts season across South Africa. He debuted for Western Province in the One-Day Cup during the same season.
Western Province Academy representative Graham October accepted the award on behalf of Breed, who wasn’t present.
Breed will again captain Claremont Cricket Club during the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
