Richard Pybus coaching career
Pybus has held several domestic and international head coach posts in South Africa and other countries from the early 1990s to today.
Pybus – UWC director of cricket
Pybus is currently director of cricket at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town. He was appointed in 2021.
Richard Pybus – West Indies’ roles
Pybus was hired as West Indies director of cricket in 2013. He left the role in 2016.
He returned for the West Indies as high performance director in 2018.
Pybus was also the West Indies’ interim coach for part of 2019.
Pybus – Indian cricket
Pybus reportedly applied to be head coach of India in 2017, but did not get the job.
He was briefly associated with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League, too.

Pybus became head coach of Bangladesh in 2012. This was his first appointment in international cricket. He left the post later that year.

Pybus was appointed head coach of the Cape Cobras in South African domestic cricket in 2010. All-rounder Justin Kemp was the captain of the Cobras at the time.
Pybus left the role in 2012.

Pybus coached the Titans in South African domestic cricket in two stints. The second was from 2007 to 2009.
Pybus – Middlesex head coach
Pybus was head coach of Middlesex in English county cricket. Appointed in February 2007, he left the post less than six months later.

Pybus coached Pakistan during up to four stints from the late 1990s to the early 2000s. This included during the 1999 World Cup.
