Atlantis Cricket Club have invited applications for the position of head coach, ahead of the 2019-20 Western Province Cricket Association season.
Atlantis Cricket Club compete in the WPCA first division C. They finished in third position in 2018-19’s standings, after 11 victories in 18 matches – and narrowly missed promotion to the 2019-20 first division B.
“We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified individual for the position of head coach for the 2019-20 season. This is a seven-month contracted position, from 1 September 2019 to 31 March 2020,” read a statement from the club.
“They key responsibilities are to deliver high-class coaching with detailed analysis and comprehensive reporting. To identify, develop and mentor potential first team players.
“To develop team and individual game plans – and to provide leadership to coaches within the club’s structure. To form part of the selection panel – and to develop a streamlined plan, from youth to senior sides.”

Several other clubs, including Avendale Cricket Club, Western Province Cricket Club and Strandfontein Cricket Club, are recruiting coaches, too. In the first division A, Milnerton Cricket Club recently appointed Edgemead Cricket Club’s Lightie Coetzee head coach.
