Gary Kirsten resigns as Pakistan’s ODI and T20I head coach

Pakistan ODI and T20I head coach Gary Kirsten has reportedly resigned.

Kirsten signed a two-year contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board in April 2024.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board today announced Test coach Jason Gillespie will coach the Pakistan men’s cricket team on next month’s white-ball tour of Australia after Gary Kirsten submitted his resignation, which was accepted,” read a statement from the PCB.

Kirsten joined Pakistan in mid-May, after coaching the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League.

He has previously been head coach of India and South Africa.
