MI Cape Town have signed Warriors spinner Thomas Kaber for the fourth edition of the SA20.
Kaber has replaced fellow left-arm wrist spinner Tabraiz Shamsi in the reigning champions MI Cape Town squad.
“Kaber, the all-rounder, returns to MI Cape Town as a replacement for Shamsi, who is unavailable for the season due to personal reasons,” read a statement from MI Cape Town.
“Kaber has been a part of MI Cape Town for the past two seasons, including the title-winning run in 2025.”
The fourth edition of the SA20 is scheduled to start on 26 December 2025. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the most successful team in the history of the tournament with two titles.

Earlier this month, Durban’s Super Giants signed New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson again.
Williamson, who has played for Durban’s Super Giants previously, has replaced Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam in the squad.
“Always stylish, always dependable. The nicest man in cricket, Kane Williamson, is returning to Durban,” read a statement from the Super Giants.
