CPT Cricket Tours announce another overseas pro – Daniel Bell-Drummond to UWC Cricket Club

The University of the Western Cape Cricket Club have signed Kent batsman Daniel Bell-Drummond for the second half of the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.

Bell-Drummond has been capped 141 times at first-class level since 2011’s Kent debut – and played for the England Lions.

He has also represented T20 franchises around the world, including:

  • Auckland Aces in New Zealand’s Super Smash;
  • Colombo Kings in Sri Lanka’s Lanka Premier League; and
  • Rajshahi Kings in Bangladesh Premier League.

He has played for Birmingham Phoenix and London Spirt in The Hundred, too.

CPT Cricket Tours bring overseas pros to Cape Town

CPT Cricket Tours facilitated the arrangement between Bell-Drummond and UWC Cricket Club.

“Daniel Bell-Drummond will play for UWC Cricket Club after the December break,” read a statement from CPT Cricket Tours.

“Daniel will prepare for the upcoming county cricket season in Cape Town and work with international coaching guru Richard Pybus, who is currently the UWC’s director of cricket.

“Daniel will follow a series of Kent players to head to Cape Town for the UK winter, including Kent legend and CPT Cricket Tours ambassador Darren Stevens, who was instrumental in facilitating this exciting placement.”
