Boland have not renewed batsman Christiaan Jonker and fast bowler Hardus Viljoen‘s contracts ahead of the 2024-25 domestic season in South Africa.
Viljoen and Jonker were capped by the Proteas in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
“We’re looking to refresh the squad considerably in the off-season. We’ve been called an old age home – that hurts,” Boland chief executive officer James Fortuin told Rapport.
Batsman Janneman Malan has also exited Boland, while seamer Keith Dudgeon has joined from the Tuskers.
Batsmen Gavin Kaplan, Blayde Capell and Grant Roelofsen have also joined Boland from Western Province, South Western Districts and the Dolphins, respectively.
